NPR's From the Top with Host Christopher O'Riley
The popular NPR-distributed program, From the Top with Host Christopher O'Riley, recorded before live audiences around the country. Applications for this program are accepted on a rolling basis.
The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award
The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award, given in conjunction with an appearance on the radio show, offers a personalized scholarship opportunity of up to $10,000 each year to approximately 20 extraordinary young musicians with financial need. The Young Artist Award application is available now with the following deadlines for the 2017-2018 season:
-October 2, 2017*
-January 8, 2018
-March 5, 2018
*Please note that high school seniors must apply by the October 2nd deadline to be considered for the scholarship.
Center for the Development of Arts Leaders
The Center for the Development of Arts Leaders - Boston (CDAL Boston) is the first center of its kind focused on developing and training young musicians to be arts leaders. CDAL offers a range of opportunities for young musicians to use the transformative power of music to engage new audiences, give back to the community, and explore their individual leadership pathways as 21st century musicians. All Boston-based rising high school sophomores through rising college sophomores are welcome to apply, with age exceptions on an individual basis. Applications for the 2017-2018 are now closed. Check back in Spring 2018 for more information.
